Urwah, the nephew of Aishah Radi Allahu ‘anha, tells us about a dialogue between his aunty and her husband, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
When you really think about this narration, it puts things into perspective.
Sometimes, we get so distracted by our daily routines, that we forget about where we’re ultimately headed…
Urwah narrated from Aishah Radi Allahu ‘anha that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The people will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection barefoot, naked and uncircumcised.”
Naked?
Yep! Naked.
‘Aishah said: “What about their ‘Awrahs?”
Meaning, won’t people be bothered about covering their private parts? Won’t people be looking at each other?
The Prophet ﷺ replied: “Every man that day will have enough to make him careless of others”.
Just think about that for a few moments. Seriously.
The Day of Judgement is real.
It’s not a myth. It’s not just a story.
Allah and His Messenger ﷺ warned us about this great and momentous day.
We will all be terrified. So terrified that we won’t even pay attention to the fact that everyone around us will be naked.
When you think about this, it puts our routines into perspective. Don’t let life get in the way of you achieving your ultimate goal: Jannah.
Do something small today to get yourself further away from the Hellfire and closer to Jannah. It could make all the difference.
Say Subhan Allah. Say astaghfirullah. Give 50 pence in charity. Send salah upon the Prophet ﷺ, read and benefit from the Quran.
But do something.
Take a deep breath and recalibrate.
Are we really doing enough for our ultimate purpose in life?
